Hello, welcome to my official website!

Preface of the book series about Social, Technological, and Economic Subjects in a Highly Interconnected Society

Image of multiple books of the series on Multiple Networks of Economic Activities, Actors, and Digital TechnologiesDue to the massive resources of new technologies and ways of communication, a new context of relationships in society is already in place.

New capabilities of storing, processing, and retrieving data, several new devices for corporate or individual use, and new ways of people (human actors) interacting with other people are multiplying, as well as new manners of the relationship between people and corporations, systems, and devices (non-human actors), and even between non-human actors with other non-human actors, already are at hand and increasing every day.

This whole new scenario is challenging people in all areas, and many new propositions for solutions come forth worldwide.

Nevertheless, is a remarkable or minimal number of actors in each field of activities already looking for social, technological, or economic solutions from the bigger picture concerning where society is heading as a consequence of these accentuated changes?

Is a remarkable or minimal set of actors of society already discussing enough the fact that the relationships in society are increasingly becoming interactions of multiple actors continually interconnected in multi-actor networks?

Although propositions of a predefined number of steps to do something may contribute to developing and maintaining many solutions, the discussion of the impacts and ways of solving problems undoubtedly will also need to be done in the conceptual arena of the bigger picture.

The demand for approaches concerning possible ways of functioning of a multi-actor society interconnected with human and non-human actors will inevitably grow, causing the need not just to try to solve the most appealing problems but to look at a more extensive view to also create more contextual and comprehensive solutions in many levels.

New concepts will have to be shaped, and many practical concepts used for several years and decades will have to be reviewed.

So, aiming to contribute to this end, I have understood that to present some perceptions, thoughts, and doubts about some practical social, technological, and economic aspects in a series of books of conceptual reflections is still a very valid way to engage society’s human actors in these approaches, a series that can be known at the following link: books.ronaldgortz.com
